Mike Moreno’s journey in combat sports began at just eight years old, when he stepped onto the mat for his first Tae Kwon Do class. What started as a childhood activity quickly turned into a disciplined pursuit earning Mike his 2nd-degree black belt, setting the tone for a life built on hard work, focus, and passion for martial arts.
That early foundation fueled a lifelong commitment to combat sports. While earning his degree in Exercise Physiology from Portland State University, Mike began competing in MMA, eventually transitioning to Full Rules Muay Thai Kickboxing. He trained and competed with top-tier teams like Apex MMA, Team Quest, Impact Jiu-Jitsu, and Portland Thai Boxing, laying the groundwork for a career marked by discipline, resilience, and high performance.
But Mike’s impact didn’t stop in the ring. He has helped thousands of clients, athletes, and coaches reach their fitness and competitive goals. As a Personal Trainer and District Fitness Manager, he built some of Tucson’s most successful fitness teams, launched elite training programs, and earned recognition from organizations like the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Muay Thai, and USA Boxing.
In 2024, Mike and his wife, Laura Moreno founded Glory Combat Sports & Fitness in Northwest Tucson and Marana—a true extension of their shared vision for transformation, excellence, and service.
Laura isn’t just a co-founder—she’s the heart of Glory’s culture. With a background in leadership, mentorship, and hospitality, she ensures every member experience reflects the values that define Glory: excellence, encouragement, and family. Laura manages key aspects of community engagement, operations, and member care, creating an environment where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.
Together, Mike and Laura are raising their two sons, Dominic and Mason, to carry the values of discipline, kindness, and faith into everything they do—whether that’s helping at the gym, serving the community, or growing as young leaders.
At Glory Combat Sports & Fitness, the Moreno family has built more than just a gym—they’ve built a movement. A place where people of all skill levels come to improve their fitness, sharpen their combat skills, and become the best version of themselves—in body, mind, and spirit.
